Koposan Bio
Koposan (aka Jacopo Solari) was born in Italy and is currently based in Berlin.
His musical journey started with metal guitar to later switch to contemporary jazz and improvisation. He studied Jazz guitar in Rome under the supervision of the 'Jazz Guitar Maestro' Fabio Zeppetella.
While doing his PhD in Physics in Amsterdam, he got into electronic music production and soon got sick with GAS: Gear Acquisition Syndrome. The years to follow were a ravaging loop of work-earn-buy gear-repeat and were the most joyful years while he was learning how electronic music composition, sound design and arrangement worked.
After his PhD he moved to Berlin, attracted by love and the Berlin music scene. Here he dove into different genres of electronic music, but mainly techno. After getting spoiled by the insanely high quality of sound and sound systems in the Berlin club ecosystem he studied mixing and mastering in order to push his work to the next level.
Inspired by the beats and clubs of this vibrant city he's now focusing on Melodic Techno (inspired by artists like Anyma, Innellea, Massano, Kevin De Vries, Dusty Kid) but also by the UK scene (FLoating Points, Jon Hopkins, Four Tet).
The resulting blend of electronic music sub-genres and his musician background makes Koposan's music an unique yet accessible universe of powerful dance vibrations and melodic colours.
